Bubble-tea and iced-tea shops we checked, and how to cold-brew loose-leaf tea at home. For hot tea, tea rooms and loose-leaf shops, see the Houston tea guide.
Houston's boba lives on Bellaire Boulevard in Asiatown, where Dun Huang Plaza and Sterling Plaza hold most of the international brands. The strip turns over fast: Tiger Sugar, Mr. Wish and Yumcha all closed there in 2025–26. Inside the Loop, the Houston-born Teahouse chain and independents such as Hella Bubble cover Montrose and River Oaks.
