The Newbury hotel, the building that opened as the Ritz in 1927, serves afternoon tea in its wood-paneled Street Bar with a menu from Major Food Group. When it returned in November 2025, the Boston Globe reported seatings Friday through Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a pot of loose-leaf tea per guest.
