The Kobuk is a downtown gift shop with a cafe and bakery, rather than a dedicated ceremonial tearoom. Tea still has a clear identity here: the shop blends its signature Samovar tea in-house and sells other loose-leaf teas, infusions, filters and infusers. The cafe makes pastries and old-fashioned donuts on site, which gives a tea stop a different shape from a reserved afternoon tea. The business occupies the historic Kimball Building by Town Square Park. Check both sets of hours before going: the cafe closes earlier than the retail shop, so late gift shopping and a seated tea break are different plans.
