ensō started in 2024 as one of Houston's first matcha-only pop-ups and now runs a permanent cafe in the Heights. It uses two first-harvest ceremonial matchas: Seion from Nishio and Uji Homare from the Kohata area of Uji. Drinks run from straight matcha to flavored builds such as pandan and honey jasmine.
