About Té Company

Té Company is a Taiwanese tea shop in Manhattan founded in 2012 by Elena Liao and Frederico Ribeiro. It runs two walk-in tearooms, 163 W 10th St in the West Village and 314 E 9th St in the East Village, both closed Mondays, and ships tea and baked goods.

The teas are Taiwanese, mostly oolong, bought directly from small farmers. The kitchen bakes pineapple cakes, linzer cookies and mooncakes to pair with them. Order Baozhong Expert's Pick for a light oolong and Oriental Beauty for a sweeter, bug-bitten one.
