O-Cha.com is a tea company based in Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. Last updated October 1, 2026 by My Tea Explorer.
O-Cha.com has sold Japanese green tea online since 1998. Founder Kevin R. Moore started it in Mesa, Arizona while studying Japanese at Arizona State, then moved operations to Iwaki in Fukushima Prefecture. After the 2011 earthquake damaged the area it briefly worked from Uji before returning to Iwaki. It is now a Japanese company and ships from Japan.
The catalog is organized by region: Shizuoka sencha like Mio, light-steamed Uji sencha like Aoi, and Kagoshima teas such as Yutaka Midori and Sae Midori. It also carries matcha and says it is the only online seller of Tsuen Tea, the Uji tea house that has operated for more than 850 years. Stock is refrigerated until shipping. Order one sencha from each of the three regions to learn how steaming and cultivar change the cup.

Since 1998. It ran from Mesa, Arizona for its first years before moving to Japan.
Try Kagoshima Sencha Yutaka Midori next to Uji Sencha Aoi to compare a deep-steamed southern sencha with a light-steamed Kyoto one.
