Global Tea Hut is a tea company based in Miaoli, Miaoli County, Taiwan with 24 teas in stock in our catalog. Last updated October 1, 2026 by My Tea Explorer.
Global Tea Hut grew out of Tea Sage Hut, a nonprofit tea center in Miaoli, Taiwan founded by Wu De. Volunteers there launched the subscription in 2012. Today a for-profit shop selling tea and teaware funds the nonprofit's magazine, courses and outreach.
The core product is a quarterly subscription with the magazine and four teas. The shop also sells teas under its own names: Jade Summit, a spring 2026 Li Shan high-mountain oolong; Wonkabar, an early-2000s Liu Bao; Ratna, a loose aged shou pu-erh; and decades-old Liu Bao baskets aged in Malaysia. Teaware includes sidehandle pots and bowls for brewing leaves in a bowl. Start with the subscription or Jade Summit.
