Chado Tea Room is a tea company based in Los Angeles, California with 4 shops you can visit. Last updated October 1, 2026 by My Tea Explorer.
Chado Tea Room opened in 1990 as a small tea room near La Cienega and 3rd in Los Angeles; Devan and Reena Shah took it over in 1992. It now runs four tea rooms: Downtown (369 East 1st Street), Hollywood, Pasadena and Torrance, serving afternoon tea and selling loose leaf.
The list runs past 150 teas and blends, with a deep Darjeeling estate section (Jungpana, Puttabong, Namring, Singbulli) and Chinese Keemuns. Blends like White Champagne Raspberry sell well, but the estate teas are the reason to order. Start with Jungpana Estate SFTGFOP-1 or Keemun Hao Ya.
